There is a book of an abandoned city where there lies a Ferris wheel. A city where demons live and get housing in exchange for continuing to threaten to destroy the world and everyone in it.
The world sees it as a city of the dead, but the broken see it as a city of the hopeful.
With concrete apartments tall enough to shield, thick enough to stop missiles,
and course enough to dull any blade within seconds.
Yet, knowing what it's worth wasn't prepared of stopping the loss of
everything ever known, as if to only destroy an empire.
Tears in the cold turn into pure white snow that covers the pain hidden underneath.
As a small child with all innocence lost I stand in the square and yell
"We need a savior from pain!", in order to set the city free. Looking up to external strength, I see a reflection of my life: pens and knives, unified by those who lead deepened lives.
I begin to hear:
“It’s time to hang the banners, start up the band, led by the ones with
meticulous friends.” Where I soon see a parade go by in the street representing
the city's values.
....to save the future that spins behind in silence, as everyone comes together
watching the parade fade away.
